This is another kit in my collection of necklaces called "Painting with Beads". This kit is designed with reversing spirals. You’ll learn three versatile techniques with this kit: 1) How to attach a donut pendant with a braided Lark’s Head Knot, 2) How to load beads for a specific design pattern and 3) How to finish the necklace with an adjustable closure. The adjustable closure allows you to wear the necklace longer or shorter. The total beaded length is 18” and the braided tails on either side add 6” per side. This necklace can be worn as short as about 18” and as long as 30”. This necklace showcases a Turquoise Howlite Pendant and a Porcelain Accent Pony Bead.

Keep in mind, you can also finish this necklace with a 4mm clasp of your choosing. I like the 4mm Acrylic End Cap with this (does not come in kit). 

You will need: Kumihimo Disk (I recommend the BeadSmith Thick Mini), 9 bobbins, tape measure, scissors. You should know: Kumihimo Round Braid (Kongoh-Gumi) and how to “drop” beads. If you need a braiding with beads refresher check out Kumihimo Tip #14.  While the instructions are written for a disk, they are easily adaptable to the Marudai.
