******Karen's Picasso Painting with Beads with Oaxaca Black Clay Pottery Heart & Adjustable Closure
This is another kit in my collection of necklaces called "Painting with Beads". To achieve the beaded pattern, the beads are strung in a particular sequence. This necklace is designed with 7 sections of beaded patterns and the beaded portion measures between 16 3/4 " to 17 1/4” (depending on beads and braiders). The instructions allow for 6" of braiding, with C-Lon, on either side of the beaded portion of the necklace. The adjustable closure will allow you to wear the necklace as short as the beaded section and up to about 26” or so.
You will need: Kumihimo Disk (I recommend a new or newer disk with tight slots - a BeadSmith THICK Mini is your best bet), 8 bobbins, tape measure, scissors. You should know: Kumihimo Round Braid (Kongoh Gumi) and how to “drop” beads (if you aren’t sure how to “drop beads” see Kumihimo Tip #14). While the instructions are written for a disk, they are easily adaptable to the Marudai.
