"*****6/0 Painting with Beads Color Block Single Spot Necklace - Picasso"
$ 40.00
Description:
I call this PAINTING WITH BEADS and I love working this way. This is a fun approach to KUMIHIMO and opens all kinds of door for endless creativity. The order in which the beads are threaded determines the variety of possible patterns. For this necklace, the bead pattern creates blocks of colors accented with a contrasting single spot. The Picasso seed beads are gorgeous. And I love this combination of colors. Rich and gorgeous.The beaded portion of the necklace is approximately 20″ depending on beads and braiders.The finished length is determined by the placement of your end caps on the braided sections at the start and finish of the braid. The necklace could be as short as 21" and as long as 25 1/2" (give or take).
You will need: Kumihimo Disk, 8 Bobbins, Scissors, Tape Measure, Needle and Thread, Glue (like Weldbond).
You should know: Kumihimo Round Braid (Kongoh-Gumi) and how to “drop” beads. If you need a refresher on braiding with beads, check out Kumihimo Tip #14. While the instructions are written for a disk, they are easily adaptable to the Marudai.
And check out the coordinating bracelet in Soutache and Satin with a Black Acrylic Magnetic Clasp. Bracelet kits sold separately under Bracelets Kits.
