Description:
C-Lon Bead Cord is a 3-ply twisted multi-filament nylon thread that works very well for Kumihimo beaded braiding. It has a diameter of approximately 0.5mm and a breaking strength of 34 lbs. I use the C-Lon Bead Cord by itself or paired with 8/0 Seed Beads, Magatamas, Pip Beads, Cube Beads, etc. The color range is fabulous, with lots of bright jewel colors and subtle tones. The 8 strand Kongoh-Gumi round braid made up in C-Lon Bead Cord pairs nicely with the 3 to 4mm end caps. You can thread the beads a few ways; use the end of the Bead Cord as your needle, use a wide eye needle for easier threading and if you have a bead spinner it will work well too. It really isn't necessary to have "every" color" because in most cases, if you are braiding with beads, the Bead Cord does not show. It is best to choose a color that blends with your color palette of beads. Check out Kumihimo Tip #18 for tips on stringing beads.
