Cluster Bead Kusari Tsunagi Necklace Kit - Aqua Jonquil - MARUDAI only
$ 24.00
This is a Marudai only kit/tutorial. You should be an Intermediate braider and it is assumed that you already know how to set up your Marudai for braiding, know how to braid / drop beads on a Marudai and can read Marudai braiding diagrams.
In the Kusari Tsunagi Cluster Bead Necklace Kit, you will learn the Kusari Tsunagi and Maru Yotsu braids and how to combine the two braids to create bead clusters.
This approximately 25" necklace is made up of Satin Cord and 6/0 Toho/Miyuki seed beads and has 24 clusters. It is finished with a glue-in magnetic clasp.
This is a super fun technique that was inspired by my braiding hero, Jacqui Carey. The technique is clever yet simple and once you "get it", it is super fast. There are so many things you can do to make this braid creative including the palette of colors you choose for the cords and how they are positioned on the face of the Marudai. The beads add another layer to designing. There are no creative limits. Learn the technique and then have a ton of fun creating.
I tried re-creating this braid on the foam disk and it just didn't work out well enough to create a pattern and a kit therefore it is a highly suggested that this is a Marudai-only kit. If you get this kit to try on a foam disk, and it's not successful, don't say I didn't warn you!
